SupportClients living on the main site have access to 24 hour support. Client are allocated 1:1 support according to their assessed need. Each client is encouraged and assisted to complete an individual weekly plan including healthy diet and household duties. We balance the need for good eating and a clean living environment against having sufficient leisure time.
|
Leisure ActivitiesClients enjoy regular outings to the local facilities including; the leisure centre, local pubs, takeaway
evenings and a disco! At the weekends clients go on outings to the local garden centres or visit places of interest. As we back onto the Southdown Way, picnic walks and bike rides are arranged at clients request. To ensure that clients have the money available to spend and plan for outings we assist them with their budgeting.
|
Budgeting Part of the budgeting process is to ensure that clients are receiving the benefits they are entitled to, with their permission an experienced support worker will assist claiming their benefits including any required follow ups. For those clients who find it particularly difficult to save money, it can be divided up into visual images such as envelopes to be opened on a daily basis or for the more able clients we have weekly spending sheets.

Health Monitoring
Each client has their own health assessment plan which is worked in partnership to our local Doctor's surgery. This ensures that clients receive the type of medical support they require from the surgery the nurse completes the form during a home visit which enables her to assess the clients needs more accurately.
|
Assessments
To ensure that clients needs are being met we hold regular client reviews where adjustments will be made to the care plan to ensure that the client receives the continuing support they require.
|
Client Community meetings
Regular meetings are held at the clients request with staff assistance. Clients draw up their own agenda and raise questions or concerns that they may have, or, requests for a particular outing to be organised that clients collectively wish to attend.
